Tire rubber on chrome car molding?

A truck hit the side of my husbands car.There was no damage except for the tire rubber that is on the chrome molding that goes down the side of the car.I have tried chrome cleaner and polish,rubbing compound,Mr. Clean eraser,I finally resorted to brillo pad.I know it is scratching it up plus it isn't doing that great a job.I am willing to try anything.It can't look worse than it already does.Do you know of anything that will remove tire rubber from chrome car molding?? Thanks!!|||try using W D 40 it works on all kinds of stuff spray it on and let set a little might need to reapply and it washes off pretty easy
