His Best friend (I eat steak, Bush) has endorsed Howard at APEC. He is going to lead this next election and is full of himself and confident that he will win it. This leads me to believe that this slippery little man has something up his dirty tracky sleeve. Can the Australian people believe him? Mr Smirk (Costello) will have the same old tired policies that his Master had but with a different spin. I get the feeling that at long last the majority of Australians have realised that Honest John and his mates are not good for this wonderfull country and and already factored in his impending demise. It is not good to have a government that is so divisive and so out of touch with the expectations of the people on so many subjects. We need a new start and this is the chance. I hope our once great ally, the US, will take the same step when their chance comes next year. This shifty bastard of a man has got some dirty tricks to play before the election.

3 of them in fact to push through parlaiment before an election is held.

the government inteds to rush some bill through the senate which will limit the next governments abiklity to use the future fund to pay for the broadband rollout. And also pushing to make it legal to have a plebicite on the Beattie local council amalgamation inQLD. These are designed to maintain control over an oposition government if Labor wins the election. Most likely the ALP wont take contol of the senate so there will be limited ability to change any laws once the ALP get in. This may cause the future Rudd government to pull a double dissolution election after about 6 to 12 months to regain control of the senate, remember we will be seeing many amendments to the Workchoices that the Liberal held senate will most likely block so be prepared for another round of election soon after this coming one.

I'm not sure he can outdo his past whoppers (i.e GST,Tampa, etc.) But the mansure has a talent for the porkies, that's for sure.

He is delusional. He and his cronies are so out of touch with the Australian electorate that they just don't get it!!



Nothing Howard or any of the Liberal "yes" men can do will change the minds of the people. We have been lied to, cheated and abused for far too long and these slimy, arrogant, stuck up pigs won't know what has hit them on Election Night 2007.



The landslide that is heading their way will see, not only them losing office but many of the front bench are tipped to lose their seats - Howard included! It will be a fitting end to their reign of horror and the sun will once again shine over the Australian political landscape.

I agree! Watch out in the next few weeks for something he makes a big fuss of, and then look over your shoulder. Something nasty will be coming that he is NOT mentioning.
