You could try getting a local automotive shop at a school etc to do the work for you , it help students learn and also save you on the labour fees too.I'am sure if you called your local school board hot-line you could find out what schools etc offer such services.Don't forget to find out what colleges and vocational schools teach it and call them up bec there are programs eager to get vehicles for repairs into them, but there also could be a waiting list.

Call around to all the parts stores for those parts bec some offer totally rebuilt struts or totally new struts that actually come equipped with the springs already and have a full lifetime warranty.See most struts aren't complete their without the springs and then the mechanic has to take time and use a special tool to remove your old springs and put them on the new struts , unless you buy new springs too.

Most shops try to add a bit of extra labour time just in case of trouble when trying to replace struts but some will offer you a straight 45 mins per strut labour fee and that is quite fair.Don't forget that once you get them changed it best to check tires , check air pressure , get tires balanced and a full 4 wheel alignment asap.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way I'd be sure to try and put a bit stronger or heavy duty struts all around that make the ride much better and you'd not have to worry about carrying ppl or heavy loads so much either and they'd probably last longer too.Struts on a 1998 nissan 200sx se?
no bounce is good for struts.

you might have wore out tires that give bounce feeling.
