How to get in touch with your inner jerk?

Okay, I'm tired of being Mr.NiceGuy ... I always felt it was the right thing to do to accept everything, until I realized that things aren't going on track ... I know that I need to be myself and stuff and blah blah blah .... but you see, I'm everyone's doormat right now and I failed in several relationships .... because I was being mr nice guy the whole time.

Any advice? How to get in touch with your inner jerk?
Look at your friends. Are you better than them? Better looking? Stronger? Are you cooler? If not, you have to become better than them. Compare yourself to others, and then work hard to make yourself better than them. That's what the ego is all about. When people get together, there's always an understanding of who is superior. And the superior person is the dominant person. If you want to be a jerk, when you see someone who's better than you, it should ignite a fire inside of you to work towards distinguishing their superior qualities and developing them in yourself. If they're yolked, take creating and work out. If they're stylish, develope it in yourself. Become superior. Make life about you and not them. If you are superior, you will get girls, and dominate your friends. You don't even have to be a jerk. The superiority speaks for itself. How to get in touch with your inner jerk?

  • Are they still selling Mr. Clean Magic Reach?

Has Mr. Clean stopped making/selling the Mr. Clean Magic Reach mop and cloths? I bought the mop in the past and have been using the cloths that scrub the tub and shower, and the ones that scrub the bathroom floor. Now I can't find any of those products in the stores! I've checked Walmart, Candian Tire, Zellers, various grocery stores, nothing! Swiffer doesn't make cloths designed to clean the tub/shower. I could use the Swiffer wet cloths, but they're not going to be as sudsy. I have a very deep soaking tub, and really prefer to use the mop thing with the long handle. And we have a separate shower stall, so it's much easier to use the mop with the long handle. Anyone know if these products are still being made or sold anywhere? Are they still selling Mr. Clean Magic Reach?
Hi, You can buy Mr clean magic reach here http://www.amazon.com/gp/search?ie=UTF8%26amp;鈥?/a> Hope this helps.

Putting rear tire back on my bike?

dealing with a 2005 diamondback mr lucky 24 (idk if that helps).

so i took my bike apart to clean it and oil it.to get the tire off, i took the U-brakes off (also to clean). now i put the tire back on: it has two lugnuts on each side like normal, but it also has these pieces on each side that i was told adjust the chain tension. so i tightened down the u-brakes, and put the tire and chain back on, and i just cant get it so the brakes arent rubbing against the rim. how would you go about doing this with the brakes and chain adjustments? could i have messed up the brakes taking them off?Putting rear tire back on my bike?
You need to check the return spings on the brake arms and make sure they are in the same place on both sides.

http://bicycletutor.com/adjust-v-brakes/Putting rear tire back on my bike?
Assuming the rim isn't bent or out of true, the first thing I would check is to see if the wheel is in the frame straight. Since you have chain tensioners, this will be easy. First, find the tight spot in the chain. Then, keeping the pedals in the spot where the tight spot is, loosen the axle nuts and tighten the screws for the chain tensioners on both sides little by little until the wheel is centered in the frame and the chain is fairly tight. Tighten the axle nuts and spin the pedals to see if there is no binding. If there is, back off the axle nuts and release the chain tensioners on each side an equal amount, and then repeat the above procedure. This should help.

The next thing I would check is the brake pads. You want to make sure they are hitting the rim flush or so that the leading edge of the brake pads are touching slightly before the rest of the pad. If after you check the wheel for being centered and the pads aren't hitting the rim in the center of the rim, adjust them so they are and are again, hitting flush. If this doesn't help then it sounds like when you took your u-brakes off, you released the spring tension and now there isn't enough tension in the brakes to pull them away from the rim. The spring adjustment is made by slightly loosening the bolt that holds the u-brake arm on the brake post, then take a 13 mm wrench and turn the brake spring cap so that you feel resistance; try turning it counter clockwise first, and if that is still keeping the pad against the rim, then turn it the other way. Do the same with the other side if necessary, and remember, a little turn goes a long way.

If you are unsure of what you are doing, there is no shame in taking the bike into a bike shop and having them fix the brakes. It won't be expensive (shouldn't be more than $30) and it will be done properly. For future reference, just squeeze the brake pads together and undo the straddle cable (you will see that one side of the cable that goes to both brake arms has a head on it that you should be able to take pliers to to remove that end from the slot in the brake arm) instead of taking the brakes completely off. That way you won't unwind the brake spring. Good luck!

I work in a male dominated industry and am tired of being addressed as 'sir' and 'mr' in emails?

What is a polite but slightly 'smack down' way to correct?I work in a male dominated industry and am tired of being addressed as 'sir' and 'mr' in emails?
You're not alone! Hillary Clinton, Margaret Thatcher, Rosie O'Donnel all have complained about the exact same issue. Bad news is that its difficult to change, but the good news is that... I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance.
Have your auto signature set to include your first name. If that still doesnt help then reply back to whomever addressed you as "Mr." that you will forward the email on to your father / husband. They will get the message pretty quick and you will probably get an apology too.I work in a male dominated industry and am tired of being addressed as 'sir' and 'mr' in emails?
Examples of how the emails are written and who all they go to would help. It seems a little archaic since most businesses now use "Dear sir or madam" or "To Whom it May Concern."

Anyways, to the point, this sounds like an HR issue. You should take it up with your HR rep and have them address it for you. This way avoids anyone feeling attacked or obtaining a label for yourself as being "difficult." And no one likes having HR come back for anything like that. If it continues, then HR has already stepped in, so then it becomes an issue for the individuals who don't adjust to the request.
The best way to remedy the problem is NOT with a smack down of any magnitude. A polite response stating your gender would be best. Request you be addressed as Ms., Miss, Mrs., Ma'am, Madam or whatever the feminazis believe to be politically correct at the time. Can your first name be for a male or female. That would cause some confusion. You do, I would guess, want to be professional about it.

The fact that you are looking for a "smack down" style of stating indicates underlying issues of gender anger. Equal rights are all well and good. Equal being the key word. No special considerations for race, gender and religion. Tighten up, Ms., with an attitude like yours, you probably will not advance too far. Lose the chip.I work in a male dominated industry and am tired of being addressed as 'sir' and 'mr' in emails?
I take it your name is non-gender specific, such as Leslie or Hillary, instead of something like Joan or Linda. The key is to be subtle, but direct. There is no need to use a sledge hammer on a thumbtack, or biting sarcasm. I suggest you simply reply as a courtesy and at the bottom, just sign with your full name and title, as in "Miss Sandy Harper." Make sure there is a blank line both above and below your full name and title. I had a friend named Sandy (not Harper) who had this exact same problem in the company where she worked. Sandy is non-gender specific. And she would do the same thing again, a simple courtesy reply if it happened a 2nd time. Of course, the 3nd time the same person did this, there would be no excuse and the biting sarcasm came out of my friend to no end... There is no excuse for a repeated failure because of stupidity. In my opinion, being stupid is not learning from your mistakes.
"Oh, please! There's no need to be so formal! Simply call me Sylvia!"

If as another answerer said, you've got a gender-neutral name, then I would also suggest signing your e-mails with a simple: Ms. Sylvia Answerer.

    Hope that helps!
I ignore any correspondence from people who do that. That's how I get back at them. Then if they contact you by phone, they'll know you're a woman. Just tell them you didn't get or don't recall any such e-mail. A little passive agreessive, maybe, and slightly dishonest, but that's my suggestion.

When can we expect Susanna Clarke to release a new novel?

I enjoyed her book Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, but I am already tired of waiting for the next one. Also if you have suggestions of authors and books, please feel free to add them too. When can we expect Susanna Clarke to release a new novel?
Her first novel took her 10 years to write, a lot of that time being spent on research so you could have quite a wait yet for the 2nd even though she is working on it.

Barack Obama's offhand approach to Gordon Brown's Washington visit last week came about because the president was facing exhaustion over America's economic crisis and is unable to focus on foreign affairs, the Sunday Telegraph has been told.

Sources close to the White House say Mr Obama and his staff have been "overwhelmed" by the economic meltdown and have voiced concerns that the new president is not getting enough rest.
